Asia Partnership Forum 2025: “India–Siam, Partners of Asia” From History to Innovation: Advancing Strategic Cooperation Toward the Future of the Asian Region

Chulalongkorn University hosted the Asia Partnership Forum 2025: India–Siam, Partners of Asia on October 9, 2025, at the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage.

The event was jointly organized by the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association, the Indian Studies Center of the Institute of Asian Studies, and Chula Unisearch – Chulalongkorn University’s academic service and research arm.

The forum served as a vital platform for deepening understanding of the dynamic relationship between Thailand and India—in historical, economic, and strategic dimensions—while fostering knowledge exchange and visionary dialogue to chart pathways for cooperation in the 21st century, an era defined by connectivity and transformation across Asia.

The event featured distinguished speakers from both countries, including:

  • H.E. Mr. Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of India to Thailand, who delivered a keynote address on “The Power of Connectivity and the Path to Strategic Cooperation in the 21st Century,” highlighting India’s pivotal role as Thailand’s strategic partner in the region.
  • Mr. Aniruddha Mukerji, Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services (Thailand), who presented on “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity Beyond the Golden Age,” offering insights into the post-AI digital and economic landscape.
  • The forum opened with a special lecture by Assoc. Prof. Sawitree Charoenpong, a historian and expert on Indian empires.

The session was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Surath Horachaikul, Director of the Indian Studies Center, Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University.

This academic and diplomatic gathering underscored the potential and breadth of Thai–Indian cooperation—not only in economic and technological spheres but also through cultural exchange, education, and historical understanding. These shared dimensions form the enduring foundation of a sustainable “Partnership of Asia.”
The Asia Partnership Forum 2025 marks another significant step in Chulalongkorn University’s mission to advance academic collaboration and regional partnership, driving forward the vision of a “Connected and Balanced Asia” built upon knowledge, friendship, and innovation. ?????
